A joyous exploration via music, guests and poetry: Errol Linton's guide to Jazz

Cerys curates your Sunday soundtrack with Errol Linton's guide to this year's Cheltenham Jazz Festival. We explore the island of Vallay with writer and musician Arun Sood.

Cerys curates an eclectic selection for your perfect Sunday soundtrack, with music crossing eras, genres and continents. Expect a mix of jazz, funk, soul, blues, folk and beats. Expect tracks from Dizzy Gillespie, Satellites, Nora Brown, Karen Dalton and Wu-Tang Clan.

This week Cerys welcomes British blues performer Errol Linton back to the programme with his guide to Cheltenham Jazz Festival, which will be celebrating its 25th anniversary. Errol who is performing at this year's festival, shares his must-watch acts from across the the line up.

Also, we explore an uninhabited island of Vallay, which lies approximately two miles off the northwest coast of North Uist, with Scottish-Indian writer and musician Arun Sood. His album and accompanying book, Searching Erskine, was inspired by Arun鈥檚 grandmother, who was one of the last islanders to leave Vallay. The island, now uninhabited, was where in 1905 archaeologist Erskine Beveridge built a mansion to in order to excavate prehistoric duns and finish his book North Uist.
