A new morning! With music, chat and Blur’s Graham Coxon

Mark and Stuart launch a new-look breakfast show, with a feast of great music, illuminating chat and Blur’s Graham Coxon.

Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie launch a new-look breakfast show for weekend mornings. The usual feast of great music and chat remains the same, but in a new compact two-hour format, on air from 8am until 10am.

To mark the brave new dawn, they are joined by a special guest… singer, songwriter, guitarist and founding-member of Blur, Graham Coxon. Graham joins Mark and Stuart to share his 'First, Last and Everything’ - that’s the first record he owned, the most recent one he’s enjoyed and the record that means ‘everything’ to him. He also chats about his latest music project ‘Superstate’ – a new graphic novel and accompanying original soundtrack. Graham has worked with co-writers Alex Paknadel and Helen Mullane and 15 graphic artists to make the soundtrack of 15 new songs, with a graphic novel of 15 stories. It also features album and book cover artwork by Coxon himself.

Also on the show… long-running feature ‘The Chain’, which give listeners the chance to pick a track that links in some way to the last. The list now contains over 8000 songs.

With a selection of music old and new to get the weekend started.
