Have you borrowed money from family or friends in the last year?

The Financial Conduct Authority surveyed people about their finances twice last year. The data suggests that before the pandemic in February, 5.1 million people had borrowed from a friend or family member. When they asked people again in October, it had risen to 5.9 million.
Of the people who had a loan application refused by a commercial lender between February and October 2020, a quarter said they borrowed money from family or friends instead.

What was it like asking someone close to you for money - has it affected your relationship with them?

Or have you been asked for money by a loved one?
