Great British car journey, French wine, Audio description
A new visitor attraction has opened up to celebrate the Great British car journey. You can even drive some of the cars.
The Financial Conduct Authority has taken action again a man who acted as a financial advisor without the proper regulation. The FCA estimates that Ian Hudson defrauded multiple people of almost £2m in a sophisticated and targeted scheme that lasted over a decade. He pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to four years in jail last month.
We speak to a victim who handed over £150,000 to Mr Hudson, certain he was acting on their behalf because he had been a friend of the family for over 30 years and someone they trusted.
Buckle up as our reporter Bob Walker takes a trip down memory lane, visiting a new attraction celebrating Great British cars. The Great British Journey in Derbyshire features Ford Escorts, Austin Allegros, and Vauxhall Vivas – cars that recall happy memories, or nightmares, of driving in the 60s, 70s and 80s. You can even drive some of them!
Fancy a glass of wine? If you are a fan of a French tipple you may want to listen. Devastating frosts and problems with mildew fungus mean France is facing a 'historic' low in terms of the 2021 harvest size, the worst since the 70s. We will be talking to French wine producers, as well as Naked Wines, to find out the impact on the consumer.
