Qasa wants to know what makes you proud to be British and Bangladeshi.

As Bangladesh celebrates its 50th year since independence from Pakistan, every day this week, we’ll be playing an episode from our documentary ‘Bangladesh at 50’.

Qasa Alom looks back at the story of Bangladesh’s history and its war of independence from Pakistan. We hear from those who witnessed the devastating nature of the conflict first-hand, from Bangladeshis who lived through the experience as children and talks to his mother and grandmother about their memories of independence for the first time.

Also our reporter, Shabnam Mahmood, has been looking at the history and impact of traditional Bangladeshi curry houses in the UK.
