Episode 1
Lucy Alexander is joined by three entrepreneurs to watch customers test and score their inventions: a multi-purpose beauty tool, a stoneware oven-proof bread maker and a rear-view mirror for cyclists.
Three entrepreneurs come together to discover what our cast of customers think of their inventions. Joined in the studio by presenter Lucy Alexander, the inventors watch footage of customers as they unbox, test, review and score their precious products. In this episode, we meet Adriana, Patrick and Tony who are all hoping to receive the highest scores from the customers to be crowned the winner. Trading Mexico for St Albans, beauty brand manager Adriana found the change in climate was having an adverse reaction on her skin. She developed a multi-purpose beauty tool that utilises red light technology, heats up and removes make-up. Patrick cooked up his idea when he was given a book on baking bread but failed to make his sourdough rise to the occasion. Realising the trick to achieving baker-quality bread at home lay in getting steam into his oven, Patrick came up with a stoneware oven-proof bread maker which holds water to create enough steam for a perfectly crusty loaf. Cyclist Tony was finding it hard to turn round on his sports bike to see what was behind, so he decided to attach a small mirror to the bike frame to help gauge the distance of vehicles behind. Once all three inventors have watched the customer reviews and given their own thoughts on the feedback, Lucy reveals who has won the coveted The Customer Is Always Right winner鈥檚 trophy.
