Episode 2
Lucy Alexander is joined by three entrepreneurs to watch customers test and score a weighted blanket, an affordable car-cleaning solution and a quick and easy vegan baking tool.
Three entrepreneurs come together to discover what our cast of customers think of their inventions. Joined in the studio by presenter Lucy Alexander, the inventors watch footage of customers as they unbox, test, review and score their precious products. In this episode, we meet Louise, James and Joe all hoping to receive the highest scores from the customers to be crowned the winner. Mum to two young girls, Louise found much of her days were spent discussing sleep deprivation with other parents. This inspired her to look into the potential calming effects of weighted blankets. Unable to find any suitable products for children, Louise decided to come up with her own weighted blankets with a variety of weights to suit children of different ages. Car enthusiast James wasn't thrilled with the price tag that came with the luxury car-cleaning products he needed to keep his car spotless, so he came up with a clay bar kit that cleans cars to perfection but is affordable to all. Joe and his brother Patrick noticed baking from scratch left them with lots of left-over ingredients that went out of date, and that convenience cake mixes contained palm oil and powdered egg. They decided to come up with a microwaveable mug cake that is suitable for vegans and can be baked in just 60 seconds. Once all three inventors have watched the customer reviews and given their own thoughts on the feedback, Lucy reveals who has won the coveted The Customer Is Always Right winner鈥檚 trophy.
