Lafawndah is a Tehran-born, Paris-raised singer, songwriter, producer and director. Described as a sonic descendent of both Brigitte Fontaine and Scott Walker, her music has previously been released via Warp Records and her own imprint Concordia. Her second artist album 鈥楾he Fifth Season鈥� came out in 2020 on the French label Latency.

Her Freak Zone Playlist features underground electronica from London, spiritual jazz from Chicago, Tombak percussion from Iran and political blues from Mauritania.
