Murray is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and his music draws on that city鈥檚 heritage in soul and R&B, giving it an experimental twist. His 2019 debut album 鈥楤efore You Begin鈥� was met with praise and comparisons to Arthur Russell. And he self-released a follow-up EP in the summer of 2020.
