Coronavirus & stigma, fines for parents and Khalsa Secondary Academy
Qasa asks, is there a stigma in admitting you’ve lost someone to coronavirus?
First Qasa Alom gets a round-up of the latest coronavirus news from our reporter Dil Neiyyar. Then we want to know, do you think it’s fair to fine parents if they don’t send their kids back to school in September? Education secretary Gavin Williamson announced this week that parents will face fines from September if they don't send their kids back to school. After that Qasa asks, is there a stigma in admitting you’ve lost someone to coronavirus? As more and more people get the virus or are sadly losing people to it, are families and friends being honest and open to others about losing loved ones to it? Also we hear from Labour MP for Leicester East, Claudia Webbe, about the city facing tighter lockdown restrictions, following a spike in Covid-19 cases. Our reporter Anisa Kadri has been looking to an Ofsted report which criticised Khalsa Secondary Academy, near Slough, over its training and safeguarding. The government wants to get a new trust in to the run the Sikh school but the current trust say they will fight to stay in charge. Plus, Qasa is joined by fashion designer Osman Yousefzada who recently wrote an article in Vouge talking about the impact of coronavirus in his community in Birmingham. And we’ll be joined by animal behaviourist Chirag Patel, who can answer questions you have about your pet
