The experimental electronic artist talks about her frenetic and transformative new album. On Kick i, bubblegum pop, heavy backbeats and electronic psychedelia coexist in a sassy and joyous world inspired by love and faith, boasting powerhouse collaborators like Bjork and Spanish pop-urbano star Rosalia. Our featured album is jazz pianist Keith Jarrett鈥檚 seminal improvised record Facing You. It鈥檚 the artist鈥檚 first solo recording playing acoustic piano and was made in Norway in 1971, the day after he played in concert with The Miles Davis Septet. The melodic, poignant and complex album is cited as an influence by innumerable pianists since then and was a prelude to his most famous solo project, The K枚ln Concert, which is the best-selling jazz piano album of all time.
