Candie Payne

As part of 6 Music's 'Art Is Everywhere' season, Mark chats to singer, songwriter and visual artist Candie Payne about her artwork.

Mark Radcliffe presents a feast of great music and chat for the weekend.

On today's show, as part of 6 Music's 'Art Is Everywhere' season, Mark is joined by singer, songwriter and visual artist Candie Payne. Candie grew up in Liverpool and New York and initially pursued a career in the visual arts. However it was her music that brought her to prominence in 2007 with the release of her debut album 鈥業 Wish I Could Have Loved You More.鈥� She has collaborated with the likes of David Byrne, Paul Weller, Kevin Ayers and Mark Ronson.

Her first solo art exhibition opened in October and featured original drawings and prints, interior design and installations. She joins Mark to talk about her artwork and the links between her musical and artistic life.
