This week it's the turn of current faves on the 6 music airwaves, Yacht. The LA based band released their seventh album Chain Tripping, was released on August 30th via DFA Records. In order to make the record, Yacht bought together several distinct AI processes to generate lyrics (Char-RNN), musical data (MusicVAE), raw audio (SampleRNN), and instrumentation (NSynth).

The band say that the album challenged them in unexpected ways and is about "what technology can do if it's wielded with love, in a spirit of self-discovery.

YACHT is an acronym for Young Americans Challenging High Technology, the band consists of Claire L. Evans, Jona Bechtolt and Rob Kieswetter
