From Moon To Mercury
This week sees the UK release of First Man - the much anticipated movie about Neil Armstrong, his stellar career and eventual steps on the moon. And a few days later, the Bepi Columbo Mission to Mercury blast off to the smallest planet in our solar system.
To mark the two events, Science Caf茅 is focusing on some of the inspiring women in space exploration and research from the 1950s onwards. Libby Jackson mentions a few in her new book A Galaxy of Her Own: Amazing Stories of Women in Space.
Closer to home we hear from Prof Haley Gomez, recently awarded an MBE for her research on the origins of cosmic dust - and her skill at communicating science - at Cardiff University.
And Adam talks to Aberystwyth University Phd Student Rose Cooper who, with her mentor Prof Manuel Grande, has exciting听research on exospheres linked听to the Bepi Columbo mission.听
