In May 2017 a suicide bombing attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester shocked the world! The arena was packed with young fans of the singer, and among the 22 people killed was Barra teenager Eilidh MacLeod. Eilidh was a piper and a popular member of Sgoil Lionacleit Pipe Band.

This year, Sgoil Lionacleit pipe band travels on a trip of a lifetime to the United States of America. The highlight of their trip will be to perform alongside scores of bands from around the world at the annual Tartan Day Parade which takes place on 6th Avenue, New York City, in front of thousands of onlookers.

Lionacleit Pipers in NY documents the bands preparation for the event and follows them as they travel over 3,000 miles from the tiny island of Benbecula to New York City to pay tribute to their friend and band member.
