Mary Anne speaks to the first British author to be signed to Jack White's imprint 'Third Man Books'.

Benjamin Myers from West Yorkshire released his book 鈥楾he Gallows Pole鈥� in 2017 and has already picked up the Roger Deakin Award, plus the 拢25,000 Walter Scott Prize for historic fiction.

Thanks to a new publishing deal at Third Man Books, there will now be a US edition of the novel coming out in the winter of 2019.

The novel was billed by his original publishers (Bluemoose) as 鈥渁 rarely told alternative history of the North". Tune in as Mary Anne hears Benjamin read an extract from the book, and opens up about the experience of being scouted by a rock star!

Third Man Books is the publishing arm of Jack White's Third Man Records. The imprint specialises in non-fiction, speculative fiction and poetry.
