Chris speaks to Kate Humble who tells us about the entrepreneurs who have fled their city jobs for the countryside and finds out the facts about gold with researcher Adrian Ash.

Kate Humble tells Chris about Back to the Land on 91热爆 Two and some of the awesome entrepreneurs who've made their dream jobs come true by fleeing the city and building careers in the countryside. We find out that there is enough gold to fill two Olympic-sized swimming pools and other interesting facts about the precious metal with top researcher from the world's largest bullion trading platform, Adrian Ash. So why did I think that your musical guest last Friday Ed Sheeran and I had something in common? We鈥檝e never met, I hardly qualify as cool and we certainly don鈥檛 look alike. So where did I get this crazy idea?

It was when I read about the way he played Wembley Stadium three nights in a row. Don鈥檛 get me wrong. I鈥檝e never done Wembley Stadium nor am I ever likely to but there he was, all on his own, just him and his guitar and loop pedal on stage. As he put it, he felt he was 鈥渞eally going up the wall.鈥�

Really going up the wall, that was my point of contact with our best-selling superstar. Just a couple of weeks ago I was in India. I鈥檇 never been there before; I was the guest speaker at a massive rally. It was a Christian event but there were lots of Hindus present and a smattering of Moslems too. I had to speak on four successive days to an audience in six figures. Not quite Wembley but as near as I鈥檒l ever get to it. Ed Sheeran had his songs to sing and his guitar and looper to help him. I was as nervous as a kitten even though I could hear murmurs of what I thought was approval and agreement coming from the vast crowd stretching out in front of me.

All I had was the old, old story that I鈥檝e told a million times around the world. To make matters even more difficult, I had to tell my story through an interpreter so that people could understand it in the local Malayalam language. The interpreter was my loop pedal. He gave colour and rhythm and backing to the story I told. Different as we were in culture and background the message which bound us was one and the same. Ours is the story of a God who doesn鈥檛 and won鈥檛 let us go, who I believe loves us with a love that鈥檚 unconditional, unfathomable. And we鈥檝e seen that love in the person of Jesus Christ. It鈥檚 a simple story and it travels well.

The messenger may not have been cool but the message most certainly was.
