Female Priests - Part One

This year sees 25 years since the General Synod of the Church of England approved the legislation allowing the ordination of women. David Grant is in Bicknoller in Somerset meeting Angela Berners-Wilson, the very first woman ordained into the Church of England. He talks to her about her feelings 25 years ago standing outside the General Synod; about her own journey to the priesthood and what is was like being the first female priest in the Church of England.

Men in Sheds

Today, there are an increasing number of elderly people facing isolation after retirement. Claire McCollum's been to meet men who've found an unusual, yet familiar place to make friends. At St Thomas Church Hall in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, some of the male congregation are using tools to build more than just woodwork in their shed; it's helping build their confidence too!
