Gary Lineker on the Road to FA Cup Glory

Gary Lineker sets off around the nation to test the pulse of the world's oldest football tournament, the FA Cup, and meet the men whose careers and lives were changed by it.

The FA Cup is more than just a football competition, it's part of our nation's history. With the competition returning to the 91热爆 after a six-year absence, Gary Lineker, a winner in 1991 with Spurs, sets off around the nation to test the pulse of the world's oldest football tournament.

Along the way, Gary meets the men whose careers and lives were changed by the trophy. He speaks to former England captain Steven Gerrard about the day his last-minute equaliser sent Liverpool's fans wild with relief. He seeks a foreign perspective from cup-winner Jose Mourinho. He talks to Ryan Giggs about the greatest FA Cup goal ever scored, and to Michael Owen about his miraculous final intervention in 2001.

Ian Wright, Roberto Martinez and Fabrice Muamba all share their stories with Gary, along with the Cambridge United players ahead of their clash with Manchester United.

Gary Lineker on the Road to FA Cup Glory asks serious questions about the health of the competition and shows why it remains in the affections of players and fans alike.
