Shirley Spear talks about special Scottish family recipes, plus Jak O'Donnell reveals her family's clootie dumpling recipe.

Shirley Spear is collating special family recipes for a new cookbook. She is looking for the recipes that have been passed down through the generations of Scottish families that have a story connected to them. The kind of treasured recipe that when you make it today makes you think about your family and the food you eat.

Treasured tastes might be Granny's best broth or some scones. But for Jak O'Donnell it's a clootie dumpling. The recipe has never properly been written down, it has just been passed on through her family. With a clootie dumpling in the studio her Jak reveals the secret to Clare English of her treasured family pudding.

Dan Holland enjoys a bowl of pea soup with Verity Walker. The recipe comes from a book passed on to her by her great-great-great Grandmother dating back to 1810 when recipes were given as wedding presents.
