Clare English explores the growth of farmers' markets and asks listeners to nominate their favourite in the 91热爆 Food and Farming Awards, plus Christopher Trotter makes boar stew.

Farmers and market traders Peter Gott and Jim Fairlie discuss the growth of farmers markets in Scotland. Faced with a crisis in the late 1990's Jim Fairlie took inspiration from a small market he visited in France and created the Perth farmers market as a way to be able to sell his produce. Today there are over 60 farmers markets in Scotland and numerous community markets.

With the launch of the 15th 91热爆 Radio 4 Food and Farming Awards 91热爆 Radio Scotland listeners are being asked to nominate their favourite Scottish market in the Best Food Markets category.

Christopher Trotter makes a rich wild boar stew, Cinghiale in dolce forte.

And inspired by what she saw at the Edinburgh farmers market, Icelandic Eirn媒 Sigur冒ard贸ttir launched her own farmers market in Reykjav铆k, but not without some unwanted attention from the authorities.
