461 Ocean Boulevard
Johnnie Walker hears 70s memories from Vincent McEvoy, album designer for Eric Clapton, the Who and more.
Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lene Lovich and Lou Reed.
This week the designer Vincent McEvoy remembers the decade in the My 70s feature. Working at Polydor Records in the seventies, he came to prominence with his award winning work for the likes of Eric Clapton, The Who and The Bee Gees. In an office that was producing thirty pieces of album artwork and promotional material every month, he had a unique insight into the process of turning music into art, and shares his memories of how classic artwork like Quadrophenia and 461 Ocean Boulevard were created.
Also on the show, Johnnie will revisit a moment from the decade courtesy of the 91热爆 archive and another classic seven-inch single will be added into Johnnie's Jukebox.
