Queen Live At The Rainbow

Johnnie Walker celebrates the 40th anniversary of Queen performing at the Rainbow Theatre and hears 70s memories from rock and blues guitarist Bernie Marsden.

Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Kraftwerk, Kool & The Gang and Kansas.

This week he's celebrating the fortieth anniversary of Queen's concerts at the Rainbow Theatre in 1974. Originally planned for release at the time, plans were shelved and only this year has the concert seen the light of day. Johnnie will play tracks from the new album ahead of release, and hear from music journalist Philip Norman who reviewed the concert for The Times back in 1974.

Also on the show, the blues and rock guitarist Bernie Marsden remembers the decade in the My 70s feature. Best known for his work with Whitesnake, he was responsible for several of the group's charting singles, including "Here I Go Again" and "Don't Break My Heart Again".

Johnnie will also revisit a moment from the decade courtesy of the 91热爆 archive and add a classic seven-inch single into Johnnie's Jukebox.
