Gemma meets John and Ben at the the Wedgwood Museum in Stoke- On-Trent. They tell her about the traditional methods of throwing and the history of Wedgewood.
The story begins with a green, glazed jug at the centre of a family who understand that certain items hold a treasured value. Their love of pottery is clear and, from a child’s perspective the listener hears about a young man who also had a love for pottery, Josiah Wedgewood. His legacy and story inspires both the listener and the child at the centre of the story.
