Graham Stewart sits in

Is immigration good for Scotland? and Whose responsibility is it to care for our elderly? Graham Stewart takes your calls, texts and emails.

Our population is at its highest ever, helped in part by a growing number of migrants from other countries. One campaign group's warning it'll put pressure on public services and competition for jobs. But has immigration, in fact, helped Scotland flourish? Graham Stewart asks if immigration is good for Scotland?

A health policy expert has said people should take care of their elderly relatives instead of always relying on the NHS and local authorities. Former health minister, Lord Darzi, said the state should 'demand' people take 'greater responsibility' for the health and social care of themselves and their family.

Graham asks whose responsibility is it to look after our elderly? Would you expect your kids to take you in, after all you brought them into the world and looked after them, shouldn't they take their turn? Or would you rather not put the burden on your family and prefer to book yourself into a care home instead?

Also, vast flooded lands, hot steamy swamps with crocodile-like creatures, palm trees, buzzing insects and spewing volcanoes...not quite the Scotland we're used to. Graham speaks to Dr James Bendle of Glasgow University to find out what life in our country was like 50 million years ago.
