Michael continues to isolate himself, pushing Leyla further into his brother's arms. Could Christina be in danger from Cammy?Frances finally faces up to her feelings for Lenny.
With Nicole still missing, Michael is becoming increasingly fraught - not helped by the ubiquitous presence of Brenda, the Family Liaison Officer assigned to their case. Over breakfast he snaps at Conor and Adeeb. Out on the street, Conor takes his anger out on a shocked Christina. Michael is struggling to cope at work too, and when a forgetful Malcolm says that he just saw Nicole in the Oyster, Michael bolts from the surgery - only to find that Malcolm was mistaken and it was Christina he had seen. He blows up at her - blaming her for Nicole's disappearance. Michael has only just got over the shock of this incident when Brenda arrives, giving him the news he's been dreading. They've found a body. Unable to contact Leyla, Michael heads over to Gabriel's and says he needs someone to come to the morgue with him to identify the body. Unbeknownst to him, Leyla is in Gabriel's living room, having been there discussing the future of their affair. At the morgue the news is good. The body is not Nicole. Relieved, Michael and Gabriel head home. However, despite the relief felt, Michael can't help but snipe at Leyla's absence at the morgue, and with Gabriel trying to stand up to him, he stomps off. Michael bumps into Christina and finds that she has been having a pretty rough day too. Cammy has been hassling her for money. Michael is shocked - the same Cammy who is the last person to have seen Nicole alive? Michael tells Christina to go home to Bob and Tatiana - he'll contact the police about Cammy. However, when she's gone, Michael does quite the opposite. He seeks Cammy out, and with the help of an iron bar, he tries to get information about Nicole out of the boy. Cammy swears he knows nothing - but Michael's rage cannot be assuaged.
A nervy and weary looking Michael returns home, and his family are concerned for his state of mind, but they don't see the blood stains on his shirt. Later, the police arrive to inform the family they've found Cammy - but they can't question him as he's unconscious. Michael desperately tries to hide his guilt.
Still reeling from Michael's accusations in the Oyster, Christina is pounced upon by Cammy. He's wanted by the police for the Tall Ship robbery and for Nicole's disappearance so he needs some money to get away for a bit. And Christina's going to get it for him. A frightened Christina does what he asks and steals money from Molly's dresser, but when she gives it to Cammy he's not satisfied - he wants more. A terrified Christina goes into hiding. When Molly discovers the money is gone, Bob and Tatiana start worrying for Christina's safety - what if she's run off just like Nicole. A desperate search ensues. But it is Michael who finds her, and armed with the information about Cammy, he persuades her that he'll take care of it, and gives her some cash to replace the money she's taken form Molly. Christina returns home to an emotional Bob and Tatiana - glad to have her home.
Lenny is preparing to visit Ewan's grave, and wants Frances to offer to accompany him, but she won't. Frances is in love with Lenny, but she's not sure she's ready to tell him that. However, after seeing a gentler side to Lenny when he comforts Michael, she begins to wonder if she's done the right thing. Eventually she realises she does want to commit herself to Lenny, but only when it's too late - he's already been to the grave. She promises him that he'll never have to do that alone again.
