Amber faces a tough choice when she is questioned by the police and Fraser must decide where his allegiance lies. Will he do Lenny's bidding or stand by his woman?
Fraser is haunted with memories of the arcade shooting. He wanders the streets alone but is quickly freaked out by the police presence in Shieldinch and returns to the flat where he faces yet more grief from Murray about getting on with his life. Unable to take his son's moping, Murray arranges for Fraser to help Raymond out with the Tall Ship's bookkeeping. Fraser clearly couldn't be less interested, his priority right now is lying low and avoiding the police and Lenny. Meanwhile, Amber desperately wants to confess to the police and get everything off her chest but her lawyer, on Lenny's instruction, tells her to make no comment. DI Donald is forced to charge Amber with the murder of McCabe despite the fact he believes that Lenny killed McCabe and Amber is protecting him.
Lenny firmly believes that if they all keep quiet, Amber will be let off but, worried that she might crack under police pressure, Lenny gets hold of Fraser and tells him to reassure Amber and get her to stick to his plan. Amber is distraught. She wants to face the consequences of her actions and doesn't want her father pulling the strings. She pleads with Fraser to see things her way and back her version of events but cowardly Fraser can't go against Lenny. Lenny is frustrated by this news and goes to plan B - to put himself in the frame to protect Amber. He threatens Fraser now to go to the police and report Lenny. Fraser knows he's in hot water but is torn between doing what Amber wants and what Lenny wants. Fraser meets Murray who is annoyed at Fraser for letting him and Raymond down. Fraser finally confesses. Fearing further disapproval from his father, Fraser is surprised to receive support instead. Murray encourages Fraser to do the right thing, he'll support him every step of the way.
With renewed strength, Fraser tells Lenny he won't do his bidding and, at the police station, Amber defies her father and confesses all. Lenny is livid at their defiance and tries to win Amber round for a final time. But it's too late. Amber asks her parents to understand but she has to do things her way. Fraser arrives just in time to make an emotional commitment to Amber. They vow to stay together and she puts on his engagement ring. Amber is taken away and Fraser leaves town.
Back with the Mullens, Jimmy is out of hospital and treated to a welcome home party. Scarlett is immensely relieved to have her man home and vows no more trouble on their doorstep - cue the return of wee Bob, Kelly Marie and Kelly Marie's son Callum! Kelly tells Scarlett that she fell pregnant with Callum but Michael didn't want the baby. She suffered from post natal depression and Callum was fostered. When her marriage eventually broke, wee Bob came to help her get Callum back and bring him home to Glasgow. Scarlett is furious with Michael and rings Peru to give him a piece of her mind but Michael has some news for Scarlett - the child isn't his. Scarlett confronts Kelly who tells her that Callum's father was in fact Ewan Murdoch.
Elsewhere, Stella is over the moon when she hears about Bob's return but becomes increasingly despondent when it looks like he's not coming to see her. She then sees Bob with his mystery woman and guesses their relationship was just never meant to be. Thankfully Bob sets Stella straight and the couple share their first kiss.
