A mother who was jailed for tying up her daughter in an effort to stop her buying heroin says she regrets doing what she did - but is glad her daughter is now off drugs.

Nineteen year old Tabitha Sayker had been trying to leave home to buy heroin when her mother Julia and ex-boyfriend wrestled her to the floor, tied her legs together with tape and pushed a sock down her mouth to stop her leaving the house.

The pair were arrested after Tabitha dialled 999 and police heard her screaming at them to 'stop hurting' her and repeatedly claiming she 'couldn't breathe'.

They were both convicted of false imprisonment with Julia Saker receiving a twelve month prison sentence. We hear from both of them.
