All About Me
Medical drama series. With the future of Plastics looking brighter than CT, Jac tries to secure a consultant's position at Holby. Meanwhile, Dan tries to avoid Malick.
Jac is furious that Plastics is pushing CT out. Hanssen reveals that unless she finds the 'magic' to save CT, it will disappear. Sahira stumbles across the 'magic' when she treats a cardiac patient at a supermarket and starts the surgery in the back of an ambulance. The idea for a mobile cardiac unit is born and, seeking a chance to get on board as consultant, Jac encourages her pitch to Hanssen. Meanwhile, Michael is keen to buy Jac's silence and offers Jac a consultant position in Plastics. Jac attempts to keep a foot in both camps, but patient Billy eavesdrops and threatens to expose her. Jac discovers Billy is a suspect, and informs the police. She manages to successfully obtain a contract from Michael and maintain a key position on the CT project.
Dan is keen to maintain his relationship with Chrissie and avoid Malick after their kiss. Malick becomes irritated when Dan's behaviour gets in the way of their shared patient, Polly, who is gay and makes Dan uncomfortable. Dan and Malick are forced to operate together. Dan's avoidance means that Polly's condition in surgery is critical. Tensions run high, and Polly loses a kidney. Dan explodes in theatre and Malick later confronts him, telling him never to disrespect him again. Malick doesn't care what Dan thinks of him, but he doesn't want to see Chrissie hurt.
Eddi is nursing a hangover on her first official day as Senior Staff Nurse. She is confronted with a face from the past, Barbara Breid, who trained her and knows her old partying ways. Keen to impress Sacha, Eddi does her best to keep her head down, but it's not long before Eddi's personal life interferes with work in the form of ex-boyfriend Jimmy and Barbara's home truths. Sacha's doubts over Eddi are finally erased when Eddi defends Chantelle's actions to Hanssen. Eddi confronts Barbara, dumps Jimmy and promises Sacha she'll be professional from now on.
