Fresh retail figures for August should complete the picture of the British high street for investors. We ask Rahul Sharma, retail analyst at Martin Currie Investment Management, what pressures the industry is facing.

Business magazine The Investors Chronicle is 150 years old. We speak to the magazine's former employee, the 91热爆's Business Editor Robert Peston, and the publication's editor Jonathan Eley.

The number of small business entrepreneurs in the UK has leapt by 117% in the last five years, according to research by the global information services company Experian. We talk to Charlotte Hogg, managing director of Experian in the UK & Ireland.

Only 14% of UK managers consider their organisation well-prepared to cope with an ageing workforce, according to research by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. We interview Patrick Woodman, policy and research manager at the CMI.
