Mervyn King is to become the second governor of the Bank of England in 142 years to address the TUC conference. For the first time in six years, Japan's central bank has tried to stop the rise of its currency to help its exporters. And a new report into 'clone towns' says two thirds of our high streets look exactly the same as each other.
