Four of the UK's biggest energy suppliers face an investigation by energy regulator Ofgem following concerns about mis-selling to their customers.

Global markets surged yesterday and London saw the sharpest one-day rise in almost two months.

The former Chief Executive of the failed bank Lehman Brothers has blamed US authorities for its collapse.

A charity appeal for flood-hit Pakistan has raised 拢42 million so far.
