Conductor James Gaffigan brings the OAE's Beethoven Symphony Series to a genial close with the Pastoral Symphony, one of his sunniest most uplifting symphonies. It is preceded by Beethoven's dramatic overture based on the Coriolanus myth and his grandiose and lyrical Third Piano Concerto, for which the orchestra is joined by pianist Alexei Lubimov.
