Presented by Ian Skelly. The Royal Scottish National Orchestra under Stephane Deneve in Schumann: Symphony No 4. Elgar: Cello Concerto (soloist Natalie Clein). Janacek: Taras Bulba.

Presented by Ian Skelly
St脙漏phane Den脙篓ve conducts the RNSO and Natalie Clein in Schumann's Symphony No4
Elgar's Cello Concerto and Jan脙隆脛聧ek's Taras Bulba.
The RSNO completes its cycle of Schumann symphonies with the Fourth, one of the most innovative and influential of all his works by reason of its extraordinary structure in which all four movements are thoroughly integrated. Natalie Clein joins the Orchestra for the stirring, elegiac Elgar Cello Concerto. And, to bring the orchestra's current season to a spectacular close, Jan脙隆脛聧ek's powerful orchestral rhapsody Taras Bulba: a true celebration of the insurmountable Cossack spirit.
