In a concert given at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, Giandrea Noseda conducts the 91热爆 Philharmonic in music by Beethoven and Wagner. After Beethoven's Overture to the incidental music, the Ruins of Athens, the 91热爆 Philharmonic are joined by young virtuoso violinist Leonidas Kavakos for a performance of Beethoven's Violin Concerto.

The second part of the concert is devoted to the orchestral works of Wagner. Siegfried's Idyll, a lyrical work for strings composed as a birthday present for Wagner's wife, Cosima, is followed by the Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde.
