Presented by Petroc Trelawny.

Baroque music from Germany forms the focus of this concert given by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, with violinist Rachel Podger at the helm.

A Bach cantata is the centrepiece of the programme, which concludes with his Concerto in D for three violins. The companion works are by Telemann and Jan Dismas Zelenka, a composer who worked at the court in Dresden, and who was greatly admired by Bach. Vivaldi also features - in an arrangement by another Dresden-based composer, Pisendel.
