Another concert in Valery Gergiev's Emigre series with the LSO, featuring Prokofiev's Symphonies 1 and 4, Violin Concerto No 1 (Leonidas Kavakos, violin) and Piano Concerto No 4.

Petroc Trelawny presents a concert of works by Prokofiev peformed as part of Valery Gergiev's Emigre series with the London Symphony Orchestra. The composer left Russia for almost 20 years soon after the premiere of his First Symphony and, like many other composers, headed to the creative hub of Paris. There he wrote his First Violin Concerto, Fourth Piano Concerto and the first version of his Symphony No 4.
