Shelter
Shelter believes that everybody needs a home in a place they can thrive. The Wallich is a homelessness charity and has been working with homeless and vulnerable people for over 30 years. they work to find lasting solutions to homelessness and prevent its occurrence by working with those who are in danger of becoming homeless. Phoenix is a registered charity and non-profit making organisation that collects donated furniture, household effects and electrical items from the public. Crisis is a national charity for single homeless people. They are dedicated to ending homelessness by delivering life-changing services and campaigning for change. The National Debtline
The National Debtline is a national telephone helpline offering free, confidential and independent advice for people with debt problems.
Advice is backed up with written self-help materials which can be sent out for free or downloaded from their site or contact them by phone on 0808 808 4000, Monday to Friday between 9am and 9pm and on Saturdays between 9.30am and 1pm. There is a 24hour voicemail to request an information pack or factsheet.

The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS)
The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) is a charity that helps people in financial difficulty by providing free, confidential, independent and realistic debt advice. The CCCS free phone helpline 0800 138 1111 is open 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday. Its free online counselling, CCCS Debt Remedy, is available anytime at their site.
Get Connected
Get Connected is a free, confidential helpline for young people who need help but don't know where to find it. You can contact them by phone, email and webchat and they have just launched a new WebHelp 24/7 service so you can find the right source of help when you need it, day or night. Samaritans
