Sending recordings
The New Music Show has a regular feature where we play soundscape recordings. Recent examples include a ticking clock, the sound of the Atlantic Ocean off Portugal and a washing machine in a flat in Tokyo.
We'd like you to send in your recordings, which can be of anything indoors or outside, and preferably made at night. Please send them to newmusicshow@bbc.co.uk.
You can use your phone or mobile device to make recordings, but please keep recordings under two minutes long, and make sure that they don't include anything that could be used to identify you or anyone else.
We also recommend trying to record somewhere where there aren't too many sonic distractions from the sound you’re trying to record.
