Forced Marriage Unit (FMU)
The Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) is a joint Foreign & Commonwealth Office and 91Èȱ¬ Office initiative dedicated to preventing forced marriage. The FMU helps British Nationals overseas and anyone in the UK who is at risk of, or a victim of, forced marriage. If you are worried that you may be forced into marriage, or know someone else who may be, contact a caseworker on 020 7008 0151, or visit the FMU online.

Lancashire Constabulary
Lancashire Constabulary treats honour based violence very seriously, and has specialist teams of officers who are dedicated to tackling the issue and supporting victims. Police are urging anyone who is suffering in similar circumstances to come forward and report the matter by calling 0845 1 25 35 45, or get in touch with Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
WISH Centre
The WISH Centre is often the first point of contact for people experiencing domestic abuse, honour based abuse or forced marriage. Trained staff are available to discuss choices and options in a non-judgemental way, as well as offering emotional and practical support staff will also refer to other areas within the service. Karma Nirvana
Karma Nirvana is an organisation that supports victims and survivors of forced marriages and honour based violence, whether they are women, men or young people. Their mission is to make forced marriage, and the fear and violence that goes with it, a thing of the past. They provide specialist guidance, listening emotional support, a refuge referral point, advocacy and a key resource to professionals. The Albert Kennedy Trust
The Albert Kennedy Trust is a charity that helps vulnerable LGBT people up to the age of 25, and has experience with forced marriage. They offer free, confidential advice and services, without fear of discrimination. Visit their website or call 020 7831 6562, Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 5.00pm.
