Enter Sara Cox's ‘Totally Teavoted’

Every week, Sara Cox is giving you the opportunity to prove you’re Totally Teavoted - with the chance to win a Sara Cox Show pencil and mug.

Each Monday from Monday 31st October, Sara will reveal the Magic word during the show at which point you can register via email sara.cox@bbc.co.uk - make sure you email your name, number and 'Totally Teavoted' is in the subject line - for a call back. You have until 23:59 that night to register!

If Sara calls you back on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and you answer with the Magic Word, you have proven that you are Totally Teavoted and you'll win the Sara Cox Show and mug and pencil! If you answer with a regular greeting, you will win the pencil for registering.

Totally Teavoted Terms and Conditions

Sara Cox ‘Totally Teavoted’ Terms and Conditions

1. Totally Teavoted is a feature open to all residents (over 16 years of age on the day of registering for the competition) of the UK, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, except 91Èȱ¬ Group employees, their close relatives and anyone connected with the competition.

2. Totally Teavoted will be run Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays during the Sara Cox programme on 91Èȱ¬ Radio 2.

3. Registration to be a ‘Totally Teavoted listener’ is open on Mondays from the time announced on air during the Sara Cox show until midnight the same day. Entrants must send an email during the registration window with the entrant’s name and contact number to sara.cox@bbc.co.uk with the word ‘teavoted’ in the subject.

4. All entrants put through on air must supply their name and postal address.

5. We will only accept one entry per person, per week. . If you have not been contacted by the end of the week in which you registered you can apply again the following week.

6. A magic word will be revealed each Monday by the presenter on the Sara Cox show. Each time the competition is played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, entrants will be selected at random and called back on air on the contact number they supplied. If the entrant does not pick up within a reasonable time they do not win anything. If an entrant answers the phone with a greeting other than the magic word for that week they win a Sara Cox show pencil. If they answer with that week’s magic word the entrant will win a Sara Cox show mug and pencil.

In all cases, there is no cash alternative and the prize is not transferable.

7. The 91Èȱ¬'s decision as to contestants taking part is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

8. Each winner will be notified on air. Their name will be broadcast.

9. Entrants can decline to take part in any post-competition publicity.

10. The 91Èȱ¬ reserves the right to cancel or vary Totally Teavoted at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise beyond its control.

11. Entrants put to air will not be allowed to enter Totally Teavoted for the following 90 days.

12. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition.

13. The competition is run by the 91Èȱ¬. The applicable law is that of England and Wales.

14. The 91Èȱ¬, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries, affiliates and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem which may result in any entry not being properly registered.

15. To the extent permitted by law, the 91Èȱ¬ will not be liable for any loss or damage (whether such damage or losses were foreseen, foreseeable, known or otherwise) including financial, reputational loss or disappointment.

Why are we doing this and how can you participate?
Audiences are at the heart of everything we do at the 91Èȱ¬. We actively engage and ask our audience to take part and contribute in a variety of ways, including via email entry for radio competitions.
Information on how to take part will be explained on-air or online including the specific competition rules that apply. For emailed entry to competitions on our radio stations, you will be directed to email a specific 91Èȱ¬ account for the competition, often providing details requested by the radio presenter, such as answers to quiz questions, or a short personal story, or an inventive reason to be selected to take part. There is then a selection process to choose contestants to appear on-air as the next stage in the competition.
If you appear on-air, this may include the programme being available online and/or on demand, and your contribution may be used again in a future broadcast.
We may use your on-air appearance (if applicable) for promotional purposes on the 91Èȱ¬’s social media sites.
What personal data will the 91Èȱ¬ collect and how will we use it?
The 91Èȱ¬ will collect and process your personal data for the purposes of administering the competition; keeping a record of winners for compliance and auditing purposes; to create broadcast content; and to provide the winner with their prize.

Personal data
Depending on the nature of the competition, the 91Èȱ¬ may collect and process the following personal data about you:
• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Location
• Your opinions, answers to our questions and biographical information you may wish to share

We may also collect your postal address if you are a winner so that we can send you your prize (if applicable).

Who is the Data Controller?
The 91Èȱ¬ is the “data controller” of your personal data. This means that the 91Èȱ¬ decides what your personal data is used for, and the ways in which it is processed. For the avoidance of doubt, your personal data will be collected and processed solely for the purposes set out in this privacy notice. As the data controller, the 91Èȱ¬ has the responsibility to comply, and to demonstrate compliance with, data protection law.

Lawful basis for processing your personal data
The lawful basis on which the 91Èȱ¬ processes the personal data is the performance of its public task. The 91Èȱ¬’s role is to act in the public interest and to serve all audiences with content which informs, educates and entertains.

We also have a legal obligation to process the personal data of the winners to comply with relevant competition regulations.

Sharing your personal data
The 91Èȱ¬ works with our approved third-party providers who help us to provide some of our services. These partners only use your personal data on behalf of the 91Èȱ¬ and not independently of the 91Èȱ¬.

We may share personal data with a third party where required or permitted by law.

Retaining your personal data
We keep records of winners for two (2) years for auditing and compliance purposes.

Unsuccessful entrants’ personal data that we receive by email will be deleted 7 days after submission.

If your contribution is used for broadcast, your personal data will be retained and archived in perpetuity by the 91Èȱ¬.

Your personal data will be stored in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA).

Your rights and more information
You have rights under data protection law:
• You can request a copy of the personal data the 91Èȱ¬ stores about you.
• You have the right to request that we rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal data that we hold about you.
• You have the right to ask for the personal data we collect about you to be deleted, however there are limitations and exceptions to this right which may entitle the 91Èȱ¬ to refuse your request.
• In certain circumstances you have the right to restrict the processing of your personal data, or to object to the processing of your personal data.
• You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal data to you or to another organisation, in certain circumstances.
