Abortion
Ìý
Whether or not to have an abortion is often the biggest decision a woman will ever make. For the 190,000 annually who choose to go ahead, it's a decision they will live with for the rest of their lives.
Ìý
In this testimony-based film, women explore the experience of abortion; emotional, upsetting and divisive, it remains one of the most hotly debated issues of our time. For some it's a liberator, an essential human right; for others, an act of murder.
Ìý
This landmark documentary presents an uncompromising, timely and honest look at modern abortion.

The Age Of Terror
Ìý
Award-winning journalist Peter Taylor's series explores four major terrorist attacks from the past 30 years – each of which marked a key point in the "age of terror".
Ìý
For the first time, Peter tells the story of his experiences during 40 years of reporting, trying to understand the motives for terrorism while revealing the events around each terrorist attack. The Age Of Terror provides a chronicle of conflict over the past three decades and an insight into its impact on international politics, psychology and culture today.
Ìý
The films include: the 1976 hijacking of an Air France plane by Palestinians in alliance with German Marxist revolutionaries that ended with an Israeli raid on the Entebbe airport in Amin's Uganda; the 1987 bombing of Enniskillen by the IRA; the 1994 hijacking of an Air France plane by Islamist extremists – their plans a chilling precursor to 9/11; and the 1998 bombing of the American Embassy in Nairobi, which killed 224 people and brought Osama Bin Laden and al-Qaeda to the attention of the Western world.

Alternative Therapies
Ìý
Professor Kathy Sykes sets off on a personal and scientific journey to explore three popular and fast-growing alternative therapies: meditation, hypnotherapy and reflexology.
Ìý
People are turning to these therapies to help a wide range of conditions, and some claims are impressive: for instance, it's claimed meditation can help heart disease, reflexology can aid pregnancy and hypnotherapy can help against intense pain. But where do these therapies originate, why are they valued so much and can science tell us if and how they "work"?
Ìý
To tackle these questions, Kathy travels to Nepal, China, Italy and America to uncover historical origins full of allure and mysticism. She tries each therapy for herself, sharing her honest reactions, and looks at some of the claims made, investigating how these square with the clinical and scientific evidence.
Ìý
She also explores how scientists are currently trying to unravel what, exactly, lies at the heart of these therapies.

Class Of 62 At 60
Ìý
From the beginning of 2006, and for the next 19 years, a baby boomer will turn 60 in Britain every 30 minutes.
Ìý
This film is a unique observation of the lives of six of the first boomers, from the ages of 16 to 60. All born in 1946, Sally, Denise, Gillian, Margaret, Dorothy and Katy have lived, loved, laughed and cried their way from the Swinging Sixties to the Naughty Noughties.
Ìý
Film-maker and classmate Marilyn Gaunt has been filming them since their first class reunion as they approached 40, and now returns as they turn 60 to see if they, like her, intended to grow old disgracefully.
Ìý
The film includes material from Marilyn's previous two films and traces the dramatic journey of this very specific sample of white working-class Northerners through the last 40 years: partners and jobs lost and found, hopes dashed and fulfilled.
Ìý
What are the expectations of these baby boomers as they become pensioners; is it the beginning of the end or a new beginning for the girls of the Class Of 62?
