Waterloo Road
Waterloo Road: Chelsee Healey

Waterloo Road series three

Chelsee Healey plays Janeece Bryant

How would you describe Janeece?

Ìý

"She is cheeky, straight-talking, nosey and funny. She is really good fun to play as she always opens her mouth without thinking. However, she is really eager to learn – especially since she's become so interested in dinosaurs."

Ìý

What do you like about the character you play?

Ìý

"She is really funny and she just can't keep a secret. She's a very bubbly person."

Ìý

What are her life values, and do these differ from your own?

Ìý

"She has suddenly decided she wants to learn, which she never really wanted to do before."

Ìý

What school did you go to?

Ìý

"I went to Cannon Williamson, in Eccles. I was a bit naughty at school, and was told off a lot for talking and messing around."

Ìý

What is your favourite storyline coming up, and why?

Ìý

"In one episode, we all go off to do some work experience – it was really fun to film."

Ìý

What have you enjoyed most about recording Waterloo Road?

Ìý

"I've enjoyed meeting all the cast and crew – they've been brilliant. We've had some good nights out, too! It has been good getting to know all the new characters as well."

Ìý

What did your school reports say about you?

Ìý

"That I spent too much time chattering, and that I could do better."

Ìý

Did you get good exam results?

Ìý

"My highest results were English – I got two B's – but I'm not telling you the rest of them!"

Ìý

Do you have any siblings, and were you at school with them?

Ìý

"I've got one older sister, but we didn't go to the same school."

Ìý

Would you consider a career in teaching?

Ìý

"No, I don't think I have enough patience to become a teacher. I think I would be a very stressed one!"

Ìý

Do you have any regrets from your school days?

Ìý

"I wish I had tried harder and taken it more seriously at the time. If I could do anything differently, I would try harder and would have listened to my mum more!"

Ìý

Did you have an inspiring teacher?

Ìý

"Mr Stockton, my English teacher – he was funny, and we got on well."

Ìý

What was your favourite subject?

Ìý

"English, because I found it easy and I liked the teacher. I didn't like maths, though – I was not good at it!"

Ìý

Where were you born and brought up?

Ìý

"Eccles, in Manchester, where I still live now."

Ìý

Since playing the role of Janeece, do you have a better understanding of teaching and the education system?

Ìý

"I definitely have more respect for teachers now and how they keep all the kids in line."
