Coming Of Age is a season of programmes exploring the pressures on teenagers in modern Britain today.

The Baby Borrowers
Ìý
With the UK's teenage pregnancy rate currently the highest in Europe, 91Èȱ¬ Three launches
its Coming Of Age Season with The Baby Borrowers, an ambitious social experiment filmed over
the course of a month that takes teenage couples on a rollercoaster ride of adult
responsibility and allows them to discover what it's really like to be a parent.

Dynamic and compelling, the series, stripped over two weeks, gives five teenage couples a
taste of adult life on fast-forward.
Ìý
Aged between 16 and 19, the teens are thrown in at the
deep end: given real houses and real responsibilities, the most important of which is to look
after children from a range of age groups, from babies to teenagers.
Ìý
Each young couple is set
a series of tasks to perform to find out if they are ready for all that adult life brings – juggling everything from parenting and work to the household budget and their relationship.
Ìý
Through tears and tantrums, the teen couples mimic the cliches of adult life. Viewers see
whether they can cope with real babies and toddlers, whether they decide to stay together
at the end of it all, and what they say to their own parents when they get home after the
most memorable month of their lives so far.

Sweet Sixteen

91Èȱ¬ Three's Coming Of Age season also includes Sweet Sixteen. This five-part series looks at the lives of teenagers in a tough North London school. The series follows their rites of passage as they prepare to leave school behind and step into the outside world.

Sex, Lice And Videotape
Ìý
The UK is in the middle of a sexually transmitted infections (STI) crisis. There's a syphilis outbreak. One in ten 16 to 24-year-olds in the country has chlamydia and this figure is on the rise. Gonorrhoea, genital warts, HIV and herpes are all running rampant.

Sex, Lice And Videotape plunges headfirst into the sex life of a hedonistic generation. This film follows some of Britain's highest-risk teens and twenty-somethings in Birmingham as they go through the agonising process of deciding to get checked out, waiting for the results and – for the unlucky ones – the bombshell moment of discovering they're infected.

Fat Boy To Slim

The season also tells the story of Jack Glassett, who has just turned 16 and is 21 stone. He's expected to reach 30 stone by the time he's 20-years old.

Fat Boy To Slim follows Jack over three years, as he turns from an overweight boy into a morbidly obese teenager who loves his food and cannot lose weight.
Ìý
Jack now feels weight-loss surgery is his only option and this summer was offered the chance to go to New York to have a gastric band fitted to his stomach – meaning he has to swap his staple diet of pizza, fizzy drinks and sweets for soup, yoghurt and protein shakes.

Cameras follow Jack and his family to New York and to the operating theatre.

I'm A Child Anorexic

In this programme, cameras film inside Rhodes Farm – a residential clinic in North London. Rhodes Farm treats, at any one time, up to 32 children, all severely underweight and some as young as 12.

Leaving cameras with the girls to record their own video diaries and conversations with each other, I'm A Child Anorexic is a raw and shocking insight into their obsession with food, dieting and fat.

The season also looks at the shocking world of teens addicted to porn. With children spending
more and more time online, a growing number are becoming hooked on internet pornography.

Teens Addicted To Porn follows the teens whose addiction is leading them to more extreme experiences, and sees them confront their problems before they wreck their lives.
