Ìý
Eighteen months ago, following a blazing
row with Annie, Chris stormed out of the house, drove off in
anger, lost control of the car and broke his spine. Now paralysed
beneath the waist he has hurled everything into getting his working
life back.

His sheer determination has been awe-inspiring but
he cannot bring himself to accept his own limitations. As he retreats
into a harder and harder shell, he pushes Annie further away.

Ìý
Having spent most of his career associating with criminals,
Ash has unwittingly adopted some of their mannerisms but although
he's prepared to bend the rules, he would stop short of anything
wholly unethical.
Ìý
Ash earns more than most of our barristers and
he drives the Mercedes to prove it. He instinctively mistrusts
the police and is attracted to the anti-establishment stance of
Jack's chambers. He works hard and plays hard and is attracted to
women who are impressed by his status.

end of the day, he'll always uphold the system.
Ìý
