Every
time the UK's 'UFO MAGAZINE' issue their annual UFO Directory, I get
an influx of letters from all over the place.
In this year's
particular batch, I received a letter from Poland. It contained photocopied
sheets of paper of what appears to be a UFO over Nottingham's City
centre.
The letter and pictures were sent by Piotieus (Peter in English) who
is now an Architect and Engineer. At the time when the picture was
taken in 1976, he was the six year old in the picture.

Piotieus
and his parents pose for a photograph in-front of the council
house, what is the speck in the background? |
The family had come over from Poland to visit relatives in Aspley,
Nottingham, and were obviously being shown around the sight's of Nottingham
when the picture was taken.

A magnified
look at the UFO. |
The original
picture is in colour. Peter remembers looking at the negative when
he was little and remembering that the mystery object showed up
red on the negative.
The聽negative
and photographs were treated as any other set of holiday snaps and
eventually put away, not to be disturbed for a long time.
He believes the
negative is still in the family's possession and is trying to locate
it for further study.
Also, on the
original picture according to Peter, the picture is clear enough
to tell the time on the clock in the distance.
If this mystery object was a conventional aircraft, then it should
be a lot higher, as, depending which direction it was going, it
would be heading for disaster.
Only half a
mile behind and to the left of the Council House building in the
background, there are two聽tower blocks of apartments which rise
up above the Victoria Shopping Centre.
Also in that area are several other tower block standing near Brook
Street and tower blocks of apartments in nearby Sneinton. Like everyone
else, I have seen airliners fly low over the city, but not this
low.
In the meantime,
I'm in the process of getting the original or a copy from the negative
so I can have a closer look.
