Imagine how our different our lives would be without
the discovery of penicillin,
the antibiotic which helps treat illnesses, or how difficult
it was to solve crimes before the discovery of DNA.
Science has made many important changes to our
lives and to celebrate its achievements we have National Science
Week, which this year begins on Friday 12
March.
The event is organised to encourage more people
to learn about science. Across the UK there are hundreds of hands-on
activities and exhibitions to get you involved and learning about
science.
Norfolk has a Libraries into Laboratories theme,
where libraries across the county are holding fun days with science
exhibitions, talks, quizzes and demonstrations.
All events are free and provide an opportunity
for the whole family to join in and learn something new about the
world we live in!
