An artist has been investing her time painting coins and feedback would suggest it's been time well spent.
Yvonne Jack, who is based in Essex, has been creating tiny pieces of art in which old coins are the canvas.
She started after being asked by someone in charge of a pop-up gallery to paint four coins as part of an exhibition.
Yvonne was told "people really loved them" and since then she has gone on to paint more than 50.
Yvonne has painted famous British landmarks and a range of artwork such as the Mona Lisa on the coins.
She uses pre-decimal coins as her canvas - which means coins that were made before the change to decimal coins in 1971.
Each of the paintings takes her a few hours to complete.
She said "it's a very enjoyable process, the discipline of painting that small".
The first coin she painted has Darth Vader from Star Wars on one side and Yoda on the other.
Other works include Vincent Van Gogh's The Starry Night and famous buildings like The Houses of Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral.
Yvonne has posted some of her pieces on TikTok and Instagram, where followers suggest pieces for her try next, but admits they don't always go to plan.
"I always paint better when it's a subject I enjoy and there have been some that have been horrendous, but I think that is the case with everything," she said.
