A shy hedgehog has been taken home for the holidays by a rail worker after it was found travelling alone onboard a train.
The prickly fellow, who has since been named Hector, was found on a train travelling from Weybridge, Surrey, to London Waterloo on 11 December.
Sadly for Hector there was no room at the local animal sanctuary for him.
South Western Railway (SWR) say he's now being cared for by an employee and his daughter in their back garden.
A customer pointed out the hedgehog to SWR worker, Jack, who said: "My first thought was 'Is it real?' and then it moved."
He added it was "definitely not something I've encountered before".
Staff met Hector at Waterloo and carefully put him safely in a box to transport him to his new temporary home.
It is hoped Hector will eventually go to an animal shelter when space becomes available.
