Jersey is now a Facebook location

People in Jersey can now set the island as their "home town" on Facebook
People can now choose the island of Jersey as a location on the social-networking site Facebook.
Previously both islanders and businesses could only select Channel Islands Beach California or New Jersey on the website.
But Facebook has now recognised Jersey as a location which can be used as a home town or as a location for an event.
Guernsey was made available as a location earlier this month.
A Facebook spokesperson said: "From time to time we are alerted to oversights such as this in our mapping system."
